Anyone who’s on Instagram would be very familiar with the current trending smoothie bowl!
Pretty much its a smoothie in a bowl usually with toppings, however its all about the creativity and Instagram worthy pic.
If your following me on social media (My links: Facebook/ Instagram) you would of also seen many of my smoothie bowl creations in the past.
Now other than they just look so good, they are also a nutrition packed, guilt free indulgence.
… Now how do I create the ultimate smoothie bowl you may ask?
Don’t stress I am here to guide you through just the few basic steps to create your own ultimate smoothie bowl magic!! Impress your family and friends as you treat them with your creations.
The ultimate smoothie bowl guide:
1) The Smoothie Base:
Lets start with the base! It needs to be thick, tasty and cold.
The above smoothie base includes:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 3/4 cup coconut milk
- 1 tbs natural vanilla protein powder
Blended until smooth and pour into a bowl.

2) The Toppings:
The best part- its all about the toppings!! Think different colours, shapes and textures.
Lets divide it into fresh & pantry toppings.
Think fresh fruit, herbs, raw whole food goodies, yogurt, sauces..
Think granola, muesli, seeds, nuts, dried fruit, cinnamon, coconut flakes, cocao nibs or high quality chocolate.
3) The Consuming:
Now sit down with your bowl and a soup spoon and completely and mindfully indulge all your senses. The hot and cold, crunchy and smooth, brights and neutrals, salty, sweet and savoury.
