The 9 Nut Slice Recipe
Nuts are a nutrition powerhouses and should be included in our diet daily to gain the health benefits for our insides and outsides. This 9 nut slice recipe allows a simple approach to include a wide range of nuts in your diet, therefore obtaining a large range of health benefits in a small proportion.
Nuts are not the enemy that make us fat. In actual fact eaten in moderation they can help us manage our weight with their high protein and fiber content, making us feel fuller for longer and suppressing our appetite. Not to mention all the amazing nutrients they contain to keep our insides healthy so our body can metabolise and burn energy effectively to help maintain a healthy weight. One of my favourite things about nuts is that they are like a multi beauty product. Hello healthy skin, hair and nails!!
As the name suggests, this recipe contains 9 different nuts. Here is just some of the benefits you will receive from each nut while consuming this slice:
– Almonds: lower bad cholesterol, build strong bones and teeth, aid in weight loss, help provide good brain function, alkalise the body and nourish the nervous system.
– Brazil nuts: contain a large number of minerals and vitamins, aid in weight loss and its high selenium content helps fight free radicals and much more.
– Cashew nuts: prevent cancer, healthy hair and skin, prevent gallstones, assist with bone strength, keeps your heart healthy.
– Hazelnuts: full of good fats, improve circulation, cancer prevention, relieves muscle pain, protects your skin.
– Macadamia nuts: healthy fats, full of fiber, high levels of B Vitamins, helps brain function and metabolism.
-Pecans: lower blood pressure, help prevent breast & prostate cancer, assist in weight control, protects skin, decreases bad cholesterol.
– Walnuts: packed with omega-3s, boosts heart health, helps the body deal with stress, reduces depression, ADHD, Alzheimer’s disease.

Recipe:
– 1/2 cup almonds
– 1/2 cup brazil nuts
– 1/2 cup cashews
– 1/3 cup hazelnuts
-1/3 cup macadamias
– 1/3 cup pecans
– 1/2 cup walnuts
– 1/3 cup pistachios
– 1/4 cup pine nuts
– 2 tsp cinnamon
– 1/3 cup coconut sugar
– 1 1/3 cups melted coconut oil
Blend/process all nuts together. Add cinnamon, sugar and coconut oil & blend for 3 seconds or until all ingredients combine.
Spread on a lined baking tray so the slice is about 1-2 centimeters thick. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Cut slice into small proportioned squares.
Enjoy!!
Keep in a sealed container in the fridge.
