Super Greens, Nut & Seed Porridge Bowl!
I know I know it’s not the most visually appealing of meals…. however adding greens to my breakfast seriously does motivate me to eat healthy for the rest of the day! So here is a super greens, nut & seed porridge bowl to have you energised, positively fuelled and making healthy food choices!
And it tastes better than it looks, I promise ?
If your new to green powders start small with maybe 1/2 a tsp as its mighty strong stuff!!
Super Greens, Nut & Seed Porridge Bowl Recipe:
1/2 cup wholegrain oats
1/2 cup filtered water
2/3 cup almond milk or milk of choice
3 tbs chia seeds
1/3 cup mixed seeds & dried fruit (I used sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, raisins)
1 tsp of a super greens powder
1 tsp raw honey
Pinch of himalayan salt
In a small saucepan mix the water, milk, salt and oats on a high heat until they come to the boil. Then turn down to a medium heat and simmer for 5-8 minutes until the porridge thickens.
Stir through the chia seeds, other seeds, fruit and honey.
Last of all take off the heat and stir through the super greens powder.
Mix though a little more water or milk if required.
Enjoy while its warm..
