Fresh Fig & Cashew Butter Smoothie
This is absolute smoothie heaven right here!! Full of whole food nourishing goodness.
High in calcium, fibre and potassium, figs are a great addition to our smoothies. We are coming to the end of fig season unfortunately so lets get blending with this delicious, healthy fruit.
If you are unable to get access to fresh figs, soak dried figs over night in filtered water to hydrate them.
Fresh Fig & Cashew Butter Smoothie Recipe:
Ingredients:
3-4 fresh figs
1 cup almond milk (make sure it has no added sugars)
1 heaped tbs natural pot set yogurt
2 tbs cashew butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1-2 tsp raw honey
5-8 ice cubes
I scoop natural protein powder (optional)
2 tbs chia seeds (optional)
Prepare figs by washing, removing stems and halving them.
Place all the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Pour into a glass or jar and feel free to top with a few slices of extra fresh fig, a sprinkle of cinnamon and raw cashews!
