Salted Caramel and Walnut Smoothie Bowl
This smoothie contains 5 superfoods and is sugar, dairy, gluten and preservative free. Not usually something you can say about a caramel milkshake, frappe or caramel anything really.
Further more its packed with omegas and protein and is a fantastic way to settle those sweet cravings or as an energy boost.
The mesquite powder gives the smoothie that caramel flavour with the benefit of being rich in a number of vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
Allow your mind to think your indulging while your body absorbs the nutrient rich goodness.
1 cup almond milk
1 scoop natural protein powder
1 heaped tbs maca powder
2 tbs chia seeds
1 heaped tbs mesquite powder
1/2 frozen banana
1/4 cup raw walnuts
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch of hymalayan salt
Approximately 8 ice cubes
Blend and enjoy!
If you prefer a stronger caramel flavour, add more of the mesquite powder.
